CAREERS
AV Systems Technician / Integrator
Aevio — Tempe, AZ | Full-Time | $70,000–$150,000
Who We Are
Aevio designs and installs high-end audio/video, lighting, and control systems across Arizona. Projects range from full commercial AV buildouts — bars, restaurants, community centers, and conference rooms — to high-end residential work like whole-house audio and home theaters, with a focus on automation on Crestron, Crestron Home, and other platforms.
Who We're Looking For
We need an exceptional installer who can also represent the company in the field — someone comfortable attending weekly construction meetings, answering questions on Aevio's behalf, and stepping into a project management role as needed. Beyond top-tier hands-on work, this person can take a job from rough-in through final commissioning with minimal oversight, help lead projects and crew, and exercise sound judgment when things go sideways. If that's you, we want to talk.
What You'll Do
- Interface with builders, designers, commercial clients, and homeowners while representing Aevio in a professional manner
- Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6, speaker wire, coax, fiber)
- Build, wire, and dress AV racks to a professional standard
- Configure and commission audio, video, and control systems in the field
- Install and mount TVs, projectors, speakers, and displays in commercial and residential spaces
- Diagnose and resolve issues independently — and help guide other techs on site
What You Bring
Required — this is the heart of the job:
- Strong hands-on AV installation and configuration experience — mounting, rack building, wiring, termination, commissioning
- The ability to run a job independently with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools
- Professional demeanor in commercial and high-end residential client-facing environments
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders / in attics and crawl spaces
A plus:
- Solid IP networking knowledge (addressing, switches, Wi-Fi, VLANs, basic troubleshooting)
A bigger plus:
- Outstanding knowledge of commercial infrastructure — wiring paths, code requirements, and best practices
- Access control experience
- Dante-networked audio experience
- Conference room / commercial AV experience
A bonus:
- Programming or configuration experience with Crestron, Control4, Savant, or Lutron — and a desire to grow into a programming role
- Experience with D-Tools, Procore, CAD, Revit, and general office software to support workflow
- Industry certifications (Crestron, Control4, Dante, CEDIA) or willingness to earn them
What We Offer
- $70,000–$150,000 depending on skills and experience
- Health insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 paid holidays
- Paid manufacturer training and certifications — we invest in your skills
- Varied work and a small, tight-knit team where your work is visible and valued
